He joined Nakauchida Stable about 2 months ago. It was first race for the stable.
He jumped off the gate fine but could not get into his stride, because it was turf course start and he is a typical dirt horse. Once the surface changes to dirt, he quickly got into his stride and started pulling very hard. The jockey, Fabrice Veron, was trying to settle him down but the horse was no tension to listen the jockey. He joined the front group before the final turn. He quickened up well in the straight and bolted up to the finishing line.
We have a big problem controlling the horse. It should be straightened up!

Pearl Code was 4th choice in the betting. She jumped off good and settled in mid position, looking at front group.
The Jockey, Yuga Kawada, guided her to outside in the straight. It looked like she was the winner, but Vivlos was flying from outside of Pearl Code.
She was beaten 1/2length in 2nd.
