After he became the 2 year olds champion last year, he made reappeared at Nakayama racecourse in Yayoi Sho GⅡ over 2000m. It is a trial race for Satsuki Sho ( Japanese 2000 Guineas).
It was the first time going for a 2 turn race for Danon Premium but still the odd-on favourite in this contest.
He jumped off fast as his usual and got a good hold going into the first bend. His Jockey Yuga Kawada settled in the 2nd position. Going around the send turn, he was guide to 3 wide and chose to run over good cover of grass. He was still on the bridle coming into the straight. He was asked and responded well and finished well to win the race.
It was a good step race for the 2000 Guineas. He will benefit this race and show even better performance next time.
