Savvy was fit and ready to go for this newcomers race. He was the 4th choice in the betting, even the connections had some confidence in him.
Savvy jumped off the gate fine and got into his stride quick. He settled in 2nd position, looking at the front runner inside of him, travelling well. He was on bridle coming out the final bend. He easily passed the front runner and got up in front 1 furlong out. He just held from 2 horses got close before the line. He won by short head.
He proved us that he has good speed and good attitude, which he had shown at home.
